Lake Benton Sportsman's Club

About Us

The Lake Benton Sportsman's Club was organized on February 14, 1952. The goal of the organization is to promote good sportsmanship and for the preservation of fish and wildlife.

The Lake Benton Sportsman's Club has installed and operated the lake aeration system since the fall of 1980.

Our organization has been instrumental in promoting and funding gun training, pheasant feeding, shelter house and fish cleaning facility construction, public access purchase and Al's Landing, lakeshore cleanup, and habitat improvement. We also help fund the indoor shooting range west of Tyler, MN.

The Club holds its meetings the fourth Wednesday of the month, September-May, in Lake Benton. The fishing tournament is Jan 27, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., registration at 6 a.m. Annual game feed is on March 17 and the Annual meeting (oyster stew and ham sandwich feed) is Jan 13.
